Do you ever just look around your house and suddenly feel the tightening of claustrophobia creeping in. Life gets so busy at times we don't see ourselves slowly adding more and more and more things to our everyday lives. Just like tasks, lack of organization can leave you with a tight stressful feeling in your chest.

Imagine coming home from a long stressful day at work, only to walk into laundry sitting in baskets by your couch. Toys stretched across the terrain of your living room. Bags, boxes, and shoes... oh my... sprawled out across your cushions where your buns should be.

I certainly could not hold it together. My stress levels and overall sense of comfort would be gone. I would begin to detest my home and probably would even consider ... setting the house on fire.

Every square inch of space that is suppose to bring comfort and serenity covered top to bottom in chaos.

Everything but the kitchen sink... wait I retract my statement. Kitchen sink is included. This is a prime example of how quickly things can get out of hand... and to be honest this isn't even that bad. In this case she moved from a much larger home to a smaller space. Well maybe I should say her children did. She didn't have a single ounce of that house to herself. Even her bedroom was full of stuffed animals, little girls dresses, and dolls galore.

She tried so very hard to clean this up herself, but didn't have the time. Between juggling her work, family, and social life she was slowly drowning in things to do. Then she called me.

2 days... 16 hours worth of cleaning and well you could say things took a better turn. The trick, well, it isn't a trick, but some friendly advice. No matter how long it takes you, take it one whole room at a time. You are already stressed, why walk the entire house a million times trying to multitask?

One room at a time and you'll see your room turn into a sanctuary, your living room into your happy place, and your kitchen a dance floor.

Buy the boxes, buy the bins, buy something to help organize your space. Because a little bit can go a very long way. That first breath of fresh air can really make you love a season.

God bless,

Catherine Simply Clean
